Terms of Service
Plain terms for a product that gives you probabilities, not promises. If you read only one section, read section 4.
Last updated 4 August 2026. We'll tell you in the app before any material change takes effect.
1. What SharpCut is — and what it isn't
SharpCut Technologies Limited (“SharpCut”, “we”, “us”) operates an sports analytics service that publishes statistical probability estimates, expected-value calculations and written analysis for sporting fixtures.
Read this part carefully, because it defines everything else:
- SharpCut is not a bookmaker and holds no gaming licence in any jurisdiction.
- We do not accept, hold, process or settle bets or stakes of any kind.
- We never hold customer funds. There is no wallet, balance or withdrawal facility.
- The “Margin Ledger” is a clearly-labelled simulation using no real money whatsoever.
- Any bet you place is placed by you, with a third-party bookmaker, entirely at your own risk.
2. Who may use SharpCut
You may use SharpCut only if you:
- are at least 18 years old;
- are legally permitted to access sports betting information where you live;
- are not self-excluded from gambling services, and are not using SharpCut to work around a self-exclusion;
- have not previously been removed from the service by us.
We may ask you to verify your age at any time and may suspend access until you do. If we reasonably believe a user is under 18, we will close the account and delete the associated data.
3. Your account
Accounts are created with a phone number and verified by one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to that number secure and for everything done through your account.
We will never ask you for your one-time code. Nobody from SharpCut will request it by phone, WhatsApp, email or any other channel. Anyone who does is attempting fraud, and you should report it to security@sharpcut.ng.
Accounts are personal. Don't share, sell, rent or transfer yours.
4. About the predictions
Everything SharpCut publishes is a statistical estimate and an opinion, produced by models operating on historical and contextual data. It is information, not advice, and it is certainly not a promise.
- No outcome is guaranteed. A prediction stated at 71% is expected to be wrong roughly 29% of the time. That is the correct behaviour of an accurate model, not a defect.
- Past performance does not predict future results. Our published track record describes what has already happened and nothing more.
- We are not financial or investment advisers, and nothing here is financial advice. Betting is not an investment strategy and should never be treated as a source of income.
- Data can be wrong or late. We depend on third-party feeds for fixtures, lineups, injuries and odds. Errors, outages and delays happen, and we cannot warrant that every figure is accurate at the moment you read it.
- Odds move. A price shown on SharpCut may no longer be available at your bookmaker.
Every decision to place a bet is yours alone, made with your own money, at your own risk, with full knowledge that you may lose the entire amount staked.
5. Payment, renewal and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed in Nigerian naira through Paystack. Card details are handled by Paystack and never stored by us.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We email or message you before each renewal.
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings, in two taps, with no phone call and no retention script. Cancelling stops the next charge; access continues to the end of the period you've paid for.
- The Day plan is a one-off purchase granting 24 hours of access. It does not renew. The Week and Month plans renew until cancelled.
- Refunds: if the service is materially unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours during a paid period, contact us and we will refund that period pro rata. We do not refund on the basis of losing bets — that is the nature of the product and of probability.
- We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers keep their price until the end of the period they have paid for.
6. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- scrape, crawl or bulk-extract predictions, or resell our output without a written agreement;
- reverse-engineer the service or attempt to derive the models from their outputs;
- share account access, or redistribute paid predictions to non-subscribers;
- present SharpCut output as your own, or as a guarantee, to anyone else;
- use the service to promote gambling to minors or to self-excluded people;
- interfere with the service's operation, security or availability.
Tipsters and media who want to republish our output should talk to us about API access at partners@sharpcut.ng — it's usually a yes.
7. Our content
The models, written analysis, interface, brand and data compilations are owned by SharpCut and protected by copyright and related rights. A subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service — it does not transfer ownership of anything.
You may share individual prediction cards socially with attribution intact. You may not systematically republish our output as a competing product.
8. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, SharpCut is not liable for any betting losses whatsoever, nor for lost profits, lost opportunity, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending the agreement
You may stop using SharpCut and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we reasonably believe you are under 18 or self-excluded. Where we terminate without cause, we refund any unused portion of a paid period.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State. We'd much rather sort it out by email first.
